Gibson's 6th birthday

Today was Gibson's 6th birthday.
Last night we said good bye to daddy. He is playing at a church camp.
He had a special present for Gibson to open this morning.

First we opened Grandma and Grandad's present.

Next, mommy and daddy's gifts.

Then, after lunch with Aunt Norma at Grandma and Grandpa's he opened some more.

Then we had some yummy cake. See how it's a drum?! A perfect cake for Gibson.

Haven got a new swim suit and sunglasses and a cute teddy bear wash cloth just for being a cute sister. (Elam didn't get anything except some Animal Crackers from Aunt Norma) We are only a few weeks from his birthday anyway.

Haven's hair

We braided Haven's hair yesterday so she could have wavy hair today.

Elam saw Haven getting her picture taken from the front and back and decided to do the same.

If I don't cut it soon, Elam's hair will be long enough for me to braid!!

Here are the results.

sudden amazement!

Gibson is my first born. I forget sometimes that he will still be experiencing "first" in his life, just like Haven and Elam and eventually the new guy.

Well, I thought that learning how to ride a bike without training wheels was a big huge difficult deal!

Well, last night after swimming and dinner, Gibson went outside with some neighborhood boys to ride bikes. He's been doing this alot lately since Andrew has been working on his Volks Wagon in the garage. (Our neighbor has 3 boys and has been helping Andrew with his car)

Anyway, Haven comes running inside the house, (because, I'm not an outside type girl) and informs me that Gibson is riding his bike without training wheels!!

He was being too quiet

Again, it was too quiet and I asked the question, "What is Elam doing?"

4th of July in Mt. Home and FIRST FISH

Andrew's plans for our 4th of July was mainly about fishing. Of course he had to include Opa, Brett and Gibson. On their first fishing trip Gibson came back with an enormous Bass!!!

This fish was caught on Gibson's Sponge Bob rod and was one of his first fish.
It was big enough for us to eat.

Don't look if you are squeamish, but Gibson's fish had just had supper. Inside his stomach were 4 1/2 crawfish!

So, the girls went fishing with the guys the next time.

Doesn't Aunt Annaliese look happy to be there?!?!

Oh wait, that's better!
Haven wanting to touch a fish daddy caught.

And THEN....................

Haven caught her first fish!!!!

Sister's looking patriotic!
The whole family together for the 4th.

We also celebrated Annaliese's 23rd birthday.

It was lots of fun seeing my family. My little ones are in TN having fun with Andrew's family this week. I miss them very much!

random cutness of Elam

These pictures are from before the 4th. Elam wanted to play guitar with his daddy, but he had to have his firemen's hat on.

Last day at Disney and headed home to Elam

For our last day, we headed to Epcot, mainly to eat lunch at the French restaurant Andrew wanted to eat at, but we also did the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" 3-D movie and went to the aquarium again.

The kids wore their Disney shirts on our last day.
We spotted Belle and hoped we'd catch her again, but we didn't. We saw the Beast too!

We got home super SUPER SUPER late, so Elam was already in bed, but the next morning before Andrew went to work we gave him his present.

We missed him very much, but he would have been so miserable!

Speaking of missing people. All of my kids are gone this week and I am super lonely!! They went to TN to see Grani and Papa.
If you need to see them everyday like I do check out Papa's blog.
