Where is Jesus?

I don't usually get a chance to sit down and write on my blog. I usually just post pictures and make captions to help stay in touch with friends and family.

But today, I have a minute to tell you about the funny conversation I had with Gibson and Haven earlier today.

So, we were sitting at the island eating lunch. I had their Sunday school papers sitting on top of the counter. Sometimes during meal times, I take the oportunity to review and ask them questions about the bible story they heard. Sunday's story was about when the disciples were fishing and not catching anything so Jesus told them to put their nets on the other side of the boat. Then they caught a bunch of fish and Jesus cooked for them. (John 21:1-13)

I asked them What did Jesus ask His Friends. Gibson's answer, "Did you catch anything?"
What happend after they caught the fish?

Haven said, "Jesus cooked the fish and 2 marshmallows."

After asking them these questions, Gibson asked a unique question to Haven. She was holding her Sunday school paper and Gibson asks,
"Haven, did Jesus give that to you?"
Haven laughs and says, "no, He wasn't at Sunday school."

Then Gibson asks me,
"Mommy, where is Jesus?"
I told him that when we are together talking and thinking about him that He is with us, but we can't always see Him.

So Haven asks me, "Is He hiding in the dark?"
and I said No.

Gibson asks me again, "So where is Jesus?"

So I told him he is with us and He lives in Heaven. (and I pointed up)
So, THEN Gibson says, "Is He on the roof?!?"
And I said no and then headed to call Andrew. He didn't pick up. The converstion was over anyway, but it has kept me smiling all day long and I had to share it with you.

It's still not as funny as the day Andrew asked Gibson where his tail was. If you need a laugh, that's one of my very first post. Reread it and I bet you'll giggle!

You have become quite a writer! I would love for you to expand that gift. Now I know that Jesus is on top of the roof, in Sunday School class and always in our hearts. :-)
