A day in the life Haven Imholz Littleton

Monday. Just a normal day. We wanted to relax and recover from the weekend. The kids start the day with breakfast, then we watch Ellen. The kids sat at their table to do some coloring while I sat on the couch and read a magazine. I was only 2 feet away from her. I keep looking up periodically to see what they are drawing. After a few more minutes, I check again and this what I see.

She found the black marker and decided to color her face.
She then had to clean up some of it.

She didn't mind cleaning up. She likes to help. But then they got hungry, so they had some banana.

Yes, she put her head down on her plate and came up with a banana stuck to her head. Then she started asking for a napkin.
She and Gibson did not take naps on this monday. The main reason was b/c Haven figured out how to climb out of her bed. So, no nap.
We didn't want her to hurt herself, so we decided to take off the railing.
It was late, but we took it off anyway. She didn't really like it at first, but then she fell asleep.

My sleeping beauty.

Gibson's singing debut

Well, grandma and grandpa had a bet going yesterday. Grandpa thought Gibson would go on stage and grandma did not. Andrew was betting with grandma. I was just hopeful.

So who won all the money? nobody did.

Gibson did go on stage, but then he left. I stood up near the stage with him. He threw a small fit and sat down on the stage and THEN the music started!! He sat right there on the floor beside the risers and sang his little heart out.

We got good video incase you want to see him in action.

mom my and her "words"

My mom's favorite color is RED, so in honor of her I will use red letters.

My mom has an intresting way of speaking. Sometimes, she makes up words.

A few weekends ago, my mom was nice enough to drive all the way from Arkansas to bring me an old refridgerator they no longer needed. The name brand is ARMANA. My mom let me know that she had all the paper work for the AMANDA refridgerator she was bringing me.

She also mentioned that she had a Dummy to help unload the refridgerator. Thankfully she wasn't talking about my sister, but instead she was talking about a DOLLY!

After she left, I had several words of hers I was going to talk about. Unfortunately, I am my mother's daughter, and............... I can't remember the other words!! (One of the reasons I started this blog was so I could write down funny things before I forget them!!) I guess I waited to long. Oh well.

Yesterday was my dad's birthday. I love to hear him talk too! If you've never gotten to hear my dad talk I hope you will someday. It's great. (He's from Switzerland for those who don't know)

Sunday is Gibson's singing debut. His preschool choir will be singing after church. I will probably cry. (I used to hate when my family got emotional for my events and now I do the same thing!)

Other events:

We think we are closing on the house Tuesday.

Then it's Thanksgiving. We are going to Tulsa.

Then, it's time for programs at church. I'm in charge of the choreography for the Christmas production. It's been fun, but I'll be glad when it's over.

Well, I hope you enjoyed all the info. :) I'll post pictures of Gibson singing after Sunday!

Haley

Haven likes to help her daddy. She is also great at cleaning up. Gibson takes after his daddy when it comes to cleaning.

birthday presents

Hello everyone,

We just got back from a Halloween party. Thankfully the kids already had costumes from their Papa and Grani. Haven is a little fairy, but Gibson calls her a ballerina. And Gibson is Superman, but he calls himself a super hero.

Tomorrow is my birthday. At lunch today Andrew asked the kids what they were going to get me for my birthday.

Gibson is getting me cake.

And Haven, she is getting me a potty!

I hope I get some cake, and I guess if you count our new house, I'll be getting 3 new potties!!!

Andrew Speaking

Haley said she was out of stuff to talk about so she asked me to write something. Today I will cover three topics:
1) Babies
2) Boomer
3) Broncos

Babies- since this is the only reason anyone reads this thing I better write about them. I'm not sure what needs to be said. I'm teaching them to be Bronco fans. They both can say go Broncos and Daddy's Dr. Pepper. Sorry Stephen, if you are reading this they are still too young to learn to become 5 pointers. Maybe a year or two from now. Hmmm....what else....I believe that covers it...Haven is the most regular little girl in the history of creation. She poos ever two hours. Gibson is the hungriest little boy ever. He eats ever two hours. You would think it would be him with the regular bowels with all the dietary fiber he gets from the cereal he eats and whatnot. Hmmm. Interesting.

Boomer- I'm not sure if anyone reads this for Boomer stories. I don't really have any anyway. He is a gross little dog. He hacks like an old man all day and burps in our faces. He does keep the babies faces clean, so that comes in handy.

Broncos- The Broncos are 5-1 and headed towards a victorious season. And we get the NFL Network now. This may be the best tv station ever. Well, I'm going to bed. I'm tired.

Freedom!!!

This picture of my hubby and my 2 kiddos was taken this past 4th of July during the fireworks. I love my children very much. They are beautiful and intelligent and full of energy. At this very moment they are probably getting ready for bed. I'm not putting them to bed tonight because they are with thier Grani and Papa in TN. That is why this post is titled Freedom!!!

We had a very exciting weekend. We were flown into Nashville Saturday. We were on a secret mission. The mission was to suprise my father-in-law at church on Sunday.
They were celebrating his 30 years in the ministry.
You'll be happy to know we were successful in our mission! He was very suprised and happy to see us.
That is why my kids are in TN. Grani helped arange the whole thing and she had my full permission to keep my kids for a few days. (Again, why the post is titled Freedom!!!)

We do have some more freedom heading our way. We have found a house and we hope to get it. Our bid was accepted and now we have to wait for all the mess that goes along with buying a house. Soon our Boomer (refer to Boomer's tail post for a picture) will be able to use a doggy door again and not wait to be walked. My children will be able to run and play in thier own backyard. We are so grateful.

The most important freedom we have is in Christ. I just finished reading a book entitled, "Though None Go with Me." (One of the activities that's hard to do with the kids around)
In it, the main character choses a life of obedience to Christ. She endures hardship after hardship, but continues to obey her Heavenly Father. I am thankful that when you become a christian you have the freedom to choose how to live and who to live for. We don't become robots who automatically obey God once we are saved. We also don't have the guarantee of a perfect life once we become a christian. We have the freedom of choice to live for Him and thank Him for sending Jesus for us. No matter what we face.

I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back, no turning back

Colossians 1:14
God has purchased our freedom with His blood and has forgiven all our sins.

The princess hat

Last Sunday at church Gibson made a beautiful crown.
He calls it his princess hat.
Andrew insist that it's his King hat or Prince hat.
But Gibson, being a Cinderella fan, maintains it is his princess hat!

How many people does it take to fix a mommy's dinner??

Sorry I've been too busy this week to post. I have a super crazy day tomorrow, so I thought I'd post right now while I have the chance.

Well, Thursday was my big anticipated Mother's Day out. I had the kids packed and ready with exactly the perfect amount of time for us to get to church by 9:30. They had their bags, their lunches and their bedding. We take it to the car. Load the car and I snap them into their car seats. Since my car keys weren't hanging where they usually do, I assumed they were in my purse.

I was wrong.

I run back to the appartment to search for them. I remember that Andrew had traded cars with me the day before in order for me to go to rehearsal at church. I look on his night stand where he ALWAYS empties his pockets.
NO KEYS!

I called him at work. No answer. I tried again and then again, but still no answer. (I am on my car phone and back outside with the kids, so don't worry Grani)
I called grandma and she said she could bring me the spare.

So, part of my free morning was eating up, but I am determined to get the kids to church and start my day of freedom. We get there and they walk into their class rooms with no problem.

I did have errands to do, BUT, I was able to eat lunch all by myself, AND, I talked on the phone with NO interruptions!! It was fantastic!

Friday we had a birthday party to attend. It was at 4:30, so it was just me and the kids. This is a place like Chuck E. Cheese, but BIGGER. Amazingly I am able to fix 2 dinner plates for them from the buffet. (Just so you know, it is kinda hard to balance two plates on one tray while keeping an eye on your 3 year old and 20 month old in order for them to not get tripped on.)

They sit and eat with all the other kids and families. Gibson gobbles up his Mac n' cheese so I say, "I'll go get some more."
I come back.
They are fine.
So, I leave again to get myself some food.. As I'm putting food on my plate, I turn around and my friend Carrie has wet faced, red eyed Gibson in her arms. I take my son from her and say, "Thanks." Then, in the distance I see another lady and two pre-teen girls from the party coming with my other wet faced red eyed child. Carrie takes my dinner plate and I take my daughter from this lady I do not know as these 2 concerned pre-teens look on. So now I have Gibson on one hip and Haven on the other. Carrie is nice enough to put a little more food on my plate. We all head back to the party room. Then I look at my children and say, "Look guys, it takes 4 extra people to help mommy get her food!"

Boomer's tail

One of the reasons I wanted to create a BLOG was so that whenever something funny happens I could write it down. I have inherited a horrible memory from my mom, so I am always saying, "That is so funny. I need to write that down."

One of those funny moments has to do with boomer's tail. Andrew asked Gibson, "Where is Boomer's tail?" Gibson points to Boomer's tail. Then he ask him, "Where is Gibson's tail?" (Just to see what he would say or do.) Gibson then pointed to his "tail."
I don't want to say exactly what he pointed at, but sadly, Haven and I do not have one!

Hi

This is my first post. I'm not sure what to write. There are exciting things happening to friends and family. I don't have any real exciting news for all of you out there except that Gibson and Haven start Mother's Day Out next week! That means that next Thursday I will have 9:30 - 2:30 for running errands or scrapbooking or cleaning or I might go to a movie!! I'm getting very excited just thinking about it.

I do have one story I thought I should tell on my very first Blog. Alot of my stories will have something to do with family b/c that is my life. I have 2 wonderful blessing in my life that wear me out! But I am greatful.
I was asked last Sunday at our small group bible study, "What is the biggest surprise you have ever received?" I was in the kitchen trying to feed my kids. I walked into the living room and pointed and said, "These two in here were both surprises!"
That got me thinking back to November 2001. Andrew and I had just gotten back from visiting my family in Arkansas and seeing his Grandparents in Branson. While in Branson we purchased a gift for his parents. This gift was our way of telling his mom and dad that I was pregnant. It was a little pillow that said, "Baby sleeps here." I remember handing them this present and watching them unwrap it. They opened it and stared and then..... they SCREAMED and jumped up and down and hugged. It was so fun.
Now, fast forward to March 2002. AGAIN, I need to tell family that I am pregnant. This time I just said it. I told my mom and she did a little dance. The funny thing is that later when I told my in-laws, Lyndel did a very similar dance. They were all so thrilled. I was in shock!
It took me a while, but I too was able to dance and rejoice. (Now a days I mainly dance to the wiggles)
